Is the construction sector represented in your portfolio?
I've been wanting to add some construction company stocks to my portfolio for a while now, as I find this sector to be quite growth-oriented but stable at the same time. I therefore bought shares of $HEIJM.AS-0.3%today .
In the end, McDonald's results didn't turn out too well, but the stock still rose 5%. I did have $MCD1.0% in my portfolio for a while, but then I sold the stock as it is too defensive a stock for me and I don't see room for significant upside.
Next week, there will be quite a few more well-known and interesting companies reporting results. I will be interested in the results of $MCD1.0%, $SHOP-5.1%, $ABNB-4.6% and $RMS.PA-0.2%.
Which companies' results will you be interested in?
European stocks have been relatively cheap lately, which has caught my eye, and I invested quite a bit in them last year. Currently my portfolio includes $ASML-0.2%, $NVO1.9%, $MC.PA0.1%, plus Czech banks.
What European stocks do you have in your portfolio?
Amazon reported results yesterday that were great, with almost all items beating expectations (more in Flash News). However, the outlook for the next quarter was worse, causing the stock to drop 5%. I don 't have$AMZN-2.9% stock in my portfolio as the price seems high.
Are you buying now after the drop, or does $AMZN-2.9% still look expensive toyou ?
Amazon is doing well, but investors just want to see the best possible numbers from big companies when they are still at their peaks, and Big Tech hasn't quite been able to deliver that yet. Discounts they are, but not yet significant ones.
Alibaba is doing quite well right now and the company seems to have recovered again. The stock is up 18% this year alone. I didn't want to invest in China before, but I bought a few shares of $BABA0.3%for diversification .
While the results fell short of expectations, they still turned out great and the company should do well this year. Google is one of the best companies in my opinion and has a strong position in AI. I've owned the stock for quite a while, it's one of the largest positions in my portfolio, and I overbought after today's drop.
Even though an 8% drop on a company like Google is really significant, I didn't buy. Google is my biggest position and I got a better price. Now we are "only" back a few weeks.
The results for me are great - $SPOT4.6%stock is up 10% today and a strong quarter is expected. I actively use Spotify, more or less daily, but I don't have their stock in my portfolio and wouldn't buy it at the current price.
Today, $TSLA-3.5%stock is down 6%. The stock has been cheaper lately and the price doesn't look so bad anymore. I think the stock is still expensive, but I'd be interested in @ondar007' s opinion on the current price.
Are you buying $TSLA-3.5% stock or do you think it is still expensive?
I've had $V-0.1%stock on my watchlist for a long time , but the price has never seemed good enough to buy. The stock is up 8% just since the beginning of the year. I think Visa is a great company with a great business, but its stock is definitely not cheap.
Does anyone have $V-0.1%stock in their portfolio ?
What do you think of the current share price of $CAT-1.1%?
The company reported results on Thursday that weren't bad, but the stock subsequently fell 5%. I was buying the stock at the end of 2023, and it has risen solidly since then, but the current price isn't bad, so I'm thinking of overbought.
In the end, ASML's results turned out great - sales and net profit exceeded expectations and overall it is clear that the company really did well. Shares of $ASML-0.2% are up 11% today, which makes me personally quite happy as ASML is one of my largest positions.
AT&T reported very positive results yesterday, which subsequently pushed the stock up 6%. For example, the company's net income rose 70% year-over-year. Shares of $T1.1% have been rising over the past few months, but it's still an uninteresting stock to me and I won't be investing in it.
What do you think about the current DeepSeek sale? What stocks do you plan to buy after the market opens?
Shares of U.S. technology companies have fallen sharply following news of Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek's breakthrough. In the pre-market so far, $NVDA-1.6%, $MSFT-0.9% and $META-2.4%have fallen significantly , and $ASML-0.2% shares have lost over 10% after the opening bell... Read more
This sector is growing quite nicely right now, but $HEIJM.AS-0.3%, for example, is already too expensive for me.
